Outcast ‘has told’ Tottenham ‘he wants a move’, manager treatment to blame

According to Takvim (h/t Sport Witness), Georges Kevin N’Koudou ‘has told’ Tottenham that ‘he wants a move’ away from the club and could be set to join Besiktas before the January transfer window closes. N’Koudou wants out of Spurs due to a lack of playing time under Mauricio Pochettino, having been on the periphery since making the switch from Olympique Marseille in 2016.

The 23-year-old has amassed a paltry 590 minutes of playing time for Tottenham in the last two-and-a-half-years and has spent this season mostly outside of the matchday. N’Koudou has made only three appearances in all competitions in 2018/19, most recently setting up the winning goal in a 1-0 league victory over Fulham on January 20.

He followed up an impressive four-minute cameo with a below-par outing against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup which may spell the end of his time with Tottenham. Stiff competition from Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and Heung-min Son has seen N’Koudou fall down the pecking order, and Besiktas are looking to capitalise on the situation.

With the French u21 international having two-and-a-half-years left on his deal, Tottenham aren’t in a rush to sell him. Previous reports suggest they want £10m for his signature and may stay patient to get it. If Besiktas fail to make a satisfactory offer, N’Koudou might not be sold in January.
