Opinion: Tottenham youngster has found himself in the perfect place to thrive

|

This weekend will see Tottenham travel to Watford in the Premier League in what should be a mightily entertaining clash. The Hornets were desperately unlucky to only come away from north London with a point in the reverse fixture, and this time it’ll be an interesting clash between two sides who have both got different managers since their last appointment.

However, away from Vicarage Road on Saturday, there will be another game where Tottenham fans will be keeping an eye on the goings-on. That’s because over at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, as QPR host Leeds, Jack Clarke could be set to make his debut for the London side.

The young winger signed for Mark Warburton’s side on-loan on Thursday (tottenhamhotspur.com), and the teenager is set to thrive at the Championship club after leaving Leeds following a woefully quiet first half of the season.

However, that spell at Leeds is now behind the wide-man, and he instantly has an opportunity to show his former side that they were wrong to leave him out of the side as often as they did, as he has the chance to go at Marcelo Bielsa’s side and hopefully dent their title challenge.

You wouldn’t bet against QPR to do so either. Over the club’s last 12 games in all competitions they’ve scored a whopping 12 goals, and adding a tricky winger who has an eye for goal to the side can only mean good things for both Clarke and for QPR, as the attacking talent has only been added to.

Championship Is Tougher To Crack

Even if this game against Leeds isn’t the one where Clarke makes his debut, the second half of the season will certainly be an interesting one for the youngster, and hopefully, in the summer he can return to Tottenham with plenty of minutes and a handful of goals under his belt.
