Opinion: Tottenham fans worries can be eased with promising transfer update

|

Tottenham supporters have had it rough this transfer window so far and the fans will be desperate for some positive news and some new signings in the last six days of the window. However, according to The Telegraph, the fans can expect two more signings, and that will come as music to their ears.

That comes as part of a long read explaining as to why Mauricio Pochettino won’t be having his job title changed despite his comments about only being the coach and not the manager at Tottenham after his side’s 1-0 win over Real Madrid, which you can read in full in The Sun.

The article also claims that nothing has changed and Daniel Levy and Pochettino will continue to work closely to try and secure two more signings ahead of next Thursday’s 5pm deadline. Who those signings are we’ve been given little information, but the fans will have a very good idea given the recent rumours in the media.

With Kieran Trippier being sold and Juan Foyth being stretchered off against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, right-back could be a problem area for the Lilywhites, yet the talk surrounding both Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso makes the two of them the pair that the fans will believe are going to sign.

The Sun claimed yesterday that Tottenham are set to sign Lo Celso for £55m on a five-year deal, whilst it’s also been written in The Telegraph (July 22nd) that Georges-Kevin N’Koudou plus £25m could be used to sign Sessegnon from Fulham.

Only time will tell if the club will be bringing in two new signings, and who they will be should they sign is still up in the air, but if anything, the recent report will go some way to easing the nerves of the Lilywhites as they prepare for a tough six days of transfer rumours and what could be a window that goes to the wire.
