Opinion: Reported Levy stance is good news for Tottenham and Pochettino

|

Daniel Levy could finally be prepared to give Tottenham Hotspur and Mauricio Pochettino the one thing they need this summer – money!

According to a report by Sky Sports, the chairman is understood to have given his manager the go-ahead regarding transfers as he has allowed for a significant chunk of the Champions League revenue to be spent.

It is also believed he will allow Poch to have a portion of the money made from player sales as well, which is good news.

Although we have a rather quality squad, it cannot be denied that investment in key areas of the pitch is required if we are to go one better next year and finally get our hands on a trophy.

New faces would certainly help to bring a breath of fresh air to things at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and we are arguably in a much better position to attract bigger names than we were 12 months ago.

Should Levy provide the club with the funds that have been allegedly made available, then we should not have too many problems in attracting the types of players that we need.

A Champions League final and a new stadium all to boot, high-profile players will be likely to be more inclined to join us and help take us to new heights in the imminent future.

If he does that, then it could go a long way into keeping Pochettino on his side as he would be giving his manager what he wants and could help to keep the Argentine’s eye from wandering and looking at other avenues.
