One Cup Closes, Another Cup Opens Up – Match Thread

|

Following the end of our EFL Cup hopes as we exited the competition at the semi-final stage to Chelsea on penalties on Thursday evening, Tottenham Hotspur gear up for an FA Cup battle against Crystal Palace this coming Sunday.

It’s very much a case of as we were for manager Mauricio Pochettino on an injury front and having selected our strongest squad against Chelsea, you would expect a more youthful flavour to our starting XI at the next time of asking.

One big question for many will be is this the game where we see a little bit of the likes of Troy Parrott and Kazaiah Sterling given their first team training involvement this week, and even, Son Heung-Min on the bench – although I don’t expect that myself as we’ll surely give him a couple of days off.

Either way, although one door to silverware has closed, we just turn our attentions to this opportunity and look to go one better.

In Poch we trust.
