Oh come on Spurs fans, we really should know better than this by now. EVERY SINGLE TIME we start to get confident, we get a kick in the teeth.
After the heroics last week this weekend saw a 3-1 loss to Reading. READING, I ask you.
Our predictions were totally wrong, 83% expected a win, 14% said we would draw and only 3% thought we’d lose.
Sorry but this defeat, or at least the manner of the defeat, is nothing short of a disgrace. We are meant to be amongst the main contenders for Europe and yet we get outplayed by a newly promoted team.
I don’t want Martin Jol to be measured in his reaction to this game, I want to see the manager of Tottenham Hotspur hopping mad and telling us that this is not good enough. I’ve supported Jol and will continue to do so as I don’t like jumping on bandwagons when we lose BUT he is paid handsomely to get the mix of the team right, he said recently he still hadn’t figured what the right mix is, NOW IS THE TIME TO DECIDE, make up your mind and stick to it, that is your job MJ.
We’ve certainly undone all the good that the win over Chelsea did last season, now the boys have GOT to rally and come back fighting, they owe the fans that much and certainly owe the club as these players are all very highly paid for their endeavours, the least we can expect is their heart and soul EVERY SINGLE minute of the 90 whilst on the pitch.
