November International Break Comes At The Right Time For Spurs As Injuries Mount

|

Tottenham Hotspur battled to a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday in the final Premier League fixture, before international commitments get in the way again.

It wasn’t just another three points gained on the top flight table though, it was another couple of injuries as our walking wounded rose to seven players.

With varying timeframes given to Vincent Jansson, Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele, ahead of the game Davinson Sanchez was ruled out with a hamstring problem and the match itself saw Erik Lamela pick up a head wound, and Kieran Trippier was substituted in the 24th minute with a knock.

With a fortnight lull in the fixture list now that should certainly play in our favour in getting one or two back to full fitness and at least getting others closer to a full return, but the worry is international injuries rearing their head so I imagine manager Mauricio Pochettino will be crossing everything as he prepares for the clash with Chelsea towards the end of the month.
