Italian TV station Sport Italia are reporting that AC Milan have joined Inter and Juventus in pursuing Mousa Dembele.

The Belgian international’s contract expires in 2019 and his agent has recently stated that he won’t be signing a new deal, at least until after the World Cup.

The Rossoneri’s interest sparked some talk on Twitter among supporters:

Verdict:

With Milan only in the Europa League next season, it would certainly be a step down for our no.19 if he were to make the switch to the San Siro.

The 30-year-old may be holding out for a higher salary, as well as a longer contract, and this could be the reason why there has been very little progress on a renewal.

Sport Italia‘s main transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla also reported an “exclusive” on his own website a couple of days ago that Dembele is not the only midfielder Milan are after, and that we are “reluctant” to let the Belgian leave despite no new deal being agreed.

    • We don’t need him…He’s a central mildfielder, and we need wingers. I would prefer Lamela, and he should as well…He’s not winning anything over there

      • Milan needs a lot of things:

not just wingers, but also midfieders and a striker at least.

MIlan midfielders are very bad… and Hakan should be there in midfield not as a winger lmao

        and ofc a coach

  • Why all the fuss over Dembele? Whilst I agree he’s very good player and should he leave Spurs, will be missed to a degree but can anyone of you remember the last time he played a full season and equally as important, when he last scored a goal? We all know that it’s extremely hard to knock him off the ball but for a man of his size, he appears to pick up so many mystery injuries from the slightest knock that keeps him out the side for weeks. With his skill and ability, he frustrates the hell out of me when in a perfect position to take a shot at goal, he passes it off to a ream mate instead. Opportunity lost. In my opinion, he’s a fair weather player, the wrong side of 30 who’s wasted the gifts that he possesses and better suited to a league that’s less frenetic.
