Our young Spurs make their final group appearance against the Belgium side at 1pm today needing only a point to guarantee a place in the knock-out stages of the competition.

What makes this game all the more interesting is that much like Spurs and Panathinaikos in the Europa League, our youngsters, only need a point, but should they lose the game, it will be their opponents that qualify in second place and Spurs go out.

Spurs secured a 1-1 draw in Brussels in what was reported to be a fairly even game, but will be full of self belief after their outstanding 4-1 win against current to table toppers and already qualified Barcelona, we have to be optimistic of a good result today, especially when the pressure will be, you assume be more on our opponents who have to take the game to us.

Tim Sherwood has regularly stated that this competition is the priority for his development squad, so I expect to see the players fired up and focussed to get at least the point they need to progress in the new year knock-out stages…
