Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks was delighted with his sides dominating display against Crystal Palace and pointed out that this is what the current Spurs side is all about.
Spurs raced into a four-goal lead before half time, and they destroyed the Eagles with a display full of quick, direct passing and clinical finishing.
Winks was heavily involved in the third goal and has turned in two excellent performances lately.
I believe he started the season slowly and was particularly poor against Newcastle United, but he was brilliant in the North London derby and was also in full control on Saturday.
The 23-year-old has started every game this season for Spurs, and Mauricio Pochettino clearly sees him as essential to the new side he is trying to build.
Winks was thrilled with the performance of Tottenham and insisted that this could be the beginning of a good run for Spurs.
Next up is a visit to Greece to face Olympiacos in the Champions League.
Pochettino will probably play Winks in this game as well because he is just too important to his manager’s plans.
