New Club Emerge As Favourites In Pursuit Of £37m Rated Spurs Star

|

Everton have emerged as surprise favourites to sign Danny Rose after the Mirror reported that Manchester United have withdrawn from the race to sign the 27-year-old.

Our no.3 started the 5-4 win over Leicester yesterday, but there has been talk that the left-back could leave in the summer as the player seeks a higher basic wage.

United were hot favourites to land the defender, but the fullback’s poor injury record has reportedly put them off from making a bid.

The Mirror believe we are looking for £37million to sell Rose, with many newspapers reporting that Mauricio Pochettino will use the funds from the player’s transfer to reshape his squad.

The Toffees are said to be prepared to make a deal for the England international, but it is not known whether they will match our reported asking price.

This season, Danny has struggled for game time, having featured in just 17 matches. He could recover his fitness and form next campaign though, so it’s difficult to say whether such a sale would be a good move for the club.
