‘Needs to grow up quick’, ‘Been awful throughout’ – Many Tottenham fans slam defender for Norwich shocker

Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham team that he inherited from Mauricio Pochettino is packed full of talented young players, and Ryan Sessegnon is certainly one of those. The ex-Fulham man is a top talent, but he’s very raw and he showed his naivety against Norwich last night.

The 18-year-old was following Max Aarons into the Tottenham penalty area in the second half, and with the Lilywhites just 1-0 up Sessegnon made the mistake of diving into a challenge. He missed the ball, caught the man and gave the Canaries a way back into the game.

Fortunately, the Lilywhites and Sessegnon were spared their blushes as Heung-Min Son scored at the other end just nine minutes later, capitalising on a huge slice of luck as Dele Alli’s ball deflected and ballooned over Tim Krul’s head for an open goal, but the fans still had harsh words for Sessegnon.
