The transfer rumour mill is in full swing as Tottenham Hotspur appear to be thrown into the mix regarding a number of players this summer.

One man that has been heavily linked with potentially joining us this summer is Bruno Fernandes.

The Sporting Lisbon midfielder is not expected to remain with the Portuguese outfit beyond the transfer window and Spurs are thought to be one of the many admirers he has.

Correio da Manha (via Sport Witness) reported recently that we were keen on beating the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United in the race for his signature after an incredible season, in which he netted 32 goals and provided 18 assists across all competitions (Transfermarkt).

And, following his performances for Portugal in their two recent Nations League matches, it seems a number of our supporters would love to see him in north London next season.

Should Christian Eriksen depart, the Portugal international looked more than capable of being the man to replace him, as we detailed once before.

Some fans took to Twitter following the match against the Netherlands on Sunday and stated that the club needed to sign him now, whilst others felt he would be a better option than some of their other rumoured targets this month. Here are some of their reactions…
