“Motivated To Stay” – Key Spurs Man Addresses Recent Speculation With Strong Response

|

With ongoing speculation deliberate distruption about the future of Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino as we continue our preparations for next month’s Champions League Final against Liverpool, we’ve all seen the latest fabrications in the media and the doubling down of positions from fans who guarantee he’s staying and guarantee he’s off after the game, but Poch has now had his own say.

Speaking to Talksport as he met with the media on Friday afternoon, obviously the topic of his future came up, as did the speculation but Pochettino’s response was utterly emphatic.

“Tottenham, for me, is the best club in the world. When we talk about facilities – this training ground, a stadium that is the best in the world – there is no better club. Then it’s London – there is no better city. And the Premier League is the most tough and the most exciting league in the world. We need to make that step. Of course, we realise we can continue in this process, we can put Tottenham with the best teams in the world.”

He went on to add.

“Still there is a lot of work to do but I am so motivated to stay in Tottenham and give Tottenham what they deserve. Now it’s about finishing the Champions league and then to talk about how to build the new step. It’s between us and the owner, Daniel, to know his ideas and share, and then design the plan to reach the last step, and be in a position that makes us to dream and believe we can be real contenders.”

With the guff on the rumour mill of late, plenty of Spurs fans will be delighted with the strength of his words, but no doubt concerns will remain for others – one thing is for sure, it certainly won’t stop the speculation and it’ll continue to be a distraction for fans as we build up to potentially making history.

I’m sure for Poch and the players though, they are paying absolutely no attention though but many will notice the message Poch sent again.
