Match Thread – Will Spurs Come Unstuck As We Welcome Everton

|

Following on quickly from the extremely disappointing midweek clash with Sheffield United and our 3-1 defeat to Chris Wilder’s plucky side, Monday evening’s clash at White Hart Lane against Everton looks set to be another tricky tie.

Spurs are now 10 points off the European places, and the small hopes many fans held about Europe have now evaporated as we need a few teams to now significantly slip up – and our own form and performances continues to be heavily in question.

Before we look too far forward to our final finishing spot for 2019/20, we really have to just take it one game at a time now as even if we don’t have a foreign adventure next season, we all know there are significant improvements we can make in our play and consistency, so we at least go into 2020/21 with some renewed hope.

Everton...

Win

Draw

Lose

Manager Jose Mourinho is bullish that the players will show a reaction to the defeat – so it’s over to them to do just that.

We’ve offered no attacking threat since the restart, at 70 minutes HK10 had the fewest touches of anyone on the pitch…….and of those many were defending in our box.

Well, we sneaked a win and had that bit of luck with a shot going wide. However, this was a dreadful game from two very poor sides. To say it was boring was an understatement. It was diabolical. We have no one in midfield who can shoot. Kane had more touches in our box than theirs. The players look disillusioned. What is Jose doing to our club? In a way, if we had lost he would have been sacked. Now we have to suffer this until the end of the season with Arsenal to play on Sunday. This has been one of the worst season’s football. Terrible.

Last time Spurs looked this drifty was just before Alan Sugar bought the club. It’s going to be hard to watch the season dither away. what a time to have no money–all those stadium loans to pay off and no social gathering allowed so no money coming in through the stadium. Prettiest stadium in the Isles and no one allowed in. with the boring footie on display at least the empty stadium will keep our lads from hearing the displeasure.

José Mourinho fora. Vai embora, José.

“Never,” says David Miller, “have two mediocre teams worked so hard to prove that they are mediocre. “

  • 123spurs says:

We didn’t create one decent attacking move. There was no sign of these players wanting to play.

  • 123spurs says:

You can see it happening arsenal beating us, you can also see that spurs will be the first club he wont win anything with

  • Geofspurs says:

123 …. Well, THFC are really good at being ‘first’!

Well we won, with a little help of course, what a boring, crap game, end of season, mid-table stuff, one eye on holidays, mind we won considering some on here said we would get well beat by an upbeat Everton side, whom I may add were more woeful than us, did we get dragged down to their level? I ask lol!

Cherries away next mmmm lol! COYS
