Tottenham Hotspur made the short trip over to the London Stadium today to face off against West Ham United.
With some interesting buildup coming from the Hammers, Mark Noble talking about our similar starts to the season despite sitting half a Premier League away from us and Karren Brady stating that we had ‘flatlined’ – the game was always going to be tasty.
In the end, manager Mauricio Pochettino was the one walking away at the full time with a smile on his face as Erik Lamela’s strike a minute before the halftime break was enough to decide the tie and ensure the points and the bragging rights came our way.
West Ham made a test of it and actually had more opportunities fall their way, but they just couldn’t do enough with them and when they did get their four shots on target, it wasn’t anything that overly bothered Hugo Lloris.
Another win in the 2018/19 campaign and Spurs keep ticking over.
