I’m beginning to wonder if the ongoing and endless speculation about the future of Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen might be better suited to a film franchise akin to Marvel given all the twists and turns, claims and counterclaims we’ve seen over the last few months.
Over the weekend (as copied in below) the Mirror gave the 27-year-old a choice of Manchester United or Juventus as a new destination with more claims that Real Madrid have moved on from him on a target front and they even stated he’d emptied his house ahead of the Champions League Final such was his desire to move on from White Hart Lane this summer.
Whatever the actual truth may be when it comes to those claims, it’s simply just another twist in a saga that had long begun boring the proverbial pants off me and I doubt I’m alone in that.
In terms of his own words in the linked piece above, about his own future and being open to trying something new should an opportunity arise, Juventus may tick that box but I simply fail to see how Old Trafford would given the mess they are in.
Money maybe, but a desire to win silverware given the criticisms thrown at Spurs on that front, absolutely no chance.
Europa League and a manager who probably won’t last until Xmas. The only logic in my opinion, would be wages and a bumper add-on package… #coys #thfc

Yes, to play in the Europa League having just played in a Champions League final. Of course.

I hope we are without the need to sell Eriksen. Spurs can provide the perfect stage for Wilfried to shine! Shame such a brilliant talent is virtually unknown in Europe.
