Manchester City fixture re-arranged

|

Tottenham Hotspur has confirmed this evening that the postponed trip to the Etihad Stadium to take on Manchester City has been re-arranged to take place on Thursday January 19th 2023, with a kick-off time of 8 PM BST.

As many of you will probably recall, the match was originally due to take place on Saturday September 10th, but was postponed following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which saw domestic football up and down the country to come to a halt.

The rescheduling of the match had long been spoken about as a headache due to both sides’ involvement in Europe, Manchester City’s progression to the next round of the League Cup, and of course, the condensed fixture list we have been subjected to due to the current World Cup in Qatar.

At the time of writing, Spurs find themselves three points behind Manchester City having played a game more than the Blue Mancunians, with an inferior goal difference by 16 goals – however, that game in hand is away to high-flying Arsenal, so it’ll be interesting to see how things develop on that front…
