Watford boss Javi Gracia says he is unsure whether Abdoulaye Doucoure will stay at Vicarage Road.

We have been linked with the Frenchman in recent weeks, along with Manchester United and Arsenal, and it appears that the player`s future is uncertain. The Hornets manager was quoted by the Evening Standard as saying:

“I don’t know, I don’t know what happens in the future, whether he will sign a new contract or stay with us a long time, I don’t know. I think he is very happy with the team, the supporters, the club, the city. I think he is very happy. I would like Doucoure to stay with us more time.’

I`m not sure whether we need another player like him to be honest with you. He is a box to box midfielder, and with players like Moussa Sissoko, Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele all in the squad, his game time would surely be limited.

You have to also consider the fact that he has only really had one decent season in the Premier League, and that until the mid-way point of last campaign he wasn`t even being selected in the first team squad.

Certainly you could say that since he has been given his opportunity to play, he has performed. Seven goals and three assists from central midfield is not something that should be easily dismissed, but personally I don`t think he would be worth the outlay, unless Poch decided to offload Sissoko in the summer.

What do you think? Would the Watford midfielder be a good signing?
