Spurs ‘new boy’ Steed Malbranque, who has only just started to push for a place following his move from Fulham and recovery from injury, said it was the chance to win things that made him decide to move to White Hart Lane.
In an interview with the London Evening Standard he said: ‘I can challenge for trophies now which I couldn’t do if I stayed at Fulham. I know it’s been a few years since Tottenham won a trophy, so it would be good to play a part in making history.’
‘If we win a cup it will help the club move on to the next level. Playing for Tottenham will improve my game too.’
The French playmaker came on for the second half of todays 1-1 draw against Blackburn replacing Edgar Davids.
