You’ve got to love the summer transfer window rumour mill haven’t you, much improved Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and legend following our 2018/19 campaign, Moussa Sissoko, has this week been linked with a move to Serie A side Roma.
Italian outlet Leggo appear to be trying to build something out of nothing here, as despite what may have been lost in translation, it’s a stream of unsourced claim after claim.
Having mentioned an apparent interest in centre-half Toby Alderweireld, the report goes on to basically claim that Roma have also expressed an interest in Sissoko, but it doesn’t even round the report by stating how that request was greeted before moving on.
It has, inevitably, gained some traction on social media given the improvement we saw from the 29-year-old last season and the praise that he received, but I can’t believe it’s being taken seriously by anyone and thankfully most are rightly happy to dismiss it.
I can only imagine the redtops will be full of it in the coming days – oh here we go with the first half of the story – Sky In Italy.
OHHHH HELL NAH
