Lloris Took MotM For Many Spurs Fans, But An Argument Can Be Made For Our England Man’s Contribution

|

Tottenham Hotspur got back to winning ways in last night’s Premier League clash against struggling Southampton.

Welcoming them and caretaker manager Kelvin Davis to Wembley for the game, their newly appointed manager Ralph Hasenhuttl was in the stands to take a watching brief and whilst he will have taken positives from the match, all history will record is three goals from Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Son Heung-Min as we got back to winning ways after Arsenal disappointments.

Whilst most probably (and did) give their Man of the Match to Hugo Lloris for his efforts between the sticks, Whoscored can often go another way as they look at the stats and their star man rating went to Kane with our England man picking up a goal and an assist on the night.

Christian Eriksen took second spot with 7.93, Sonny third with 7.71 and they were followed by Moura (7.62) and Kieran Trippier (7.47).

Special mentions for Hugo Lloris, Juan Foyth and Toby Alderweireld who all received scores of 7+ from the tie.

Back to back victories will again be the aim.
