Tottenham suffered a 1-0 defeat to West Ham United and Juan Foyth was one of a number of players who was criticised by supporters by the part he played in Saturday’s loss. Foyth started at right-back against the Hammers and didn’t put in the most convincing performance which may raise questions why Mauricio Pochettino persists with playing him there.
Foyth was dreadful going forwards and dreadful at defending.

No Foyth, bloke is a complete liability and not CL standard

Foyth’s a talent, but no right-back. #THFC

Things I never want to see again:
– Danny Rose anywhere other than LB/LWB.
– Juan Foyth at RB (particularly with two actual RBs on the bench).
– Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen on the pitch at the same time.— Chris Miller (@WindyCOYS) April 27, 2019
Well foyth certainly isn’t the answer at right back brutal

Dele poor, Son poor today and Foyth was on edge again. The whole performance just did not look right at all. Some looked tired especially Dele being caught out and slow to pass the ball at times. They will be pumped for Tuesday but they should of been today as well. #COYS

Foyth wasn't just at it all day.

Take home point from today: Foyth is not a RB…

Foyth. Caught out of position far too often. Don't believe Pochs story re training. He's not good enough. Dele has looked out of sorts. Eriksen too. Again. Lucas and Son seemed afraid to trust a first time shot. We lacked penetration and speed and width. Light squad may cost us

@SpursOfficial Poor performance. Poch must take most of the blame. Took liberty with selection &/or formation. Foyth not a right back, Rose in midfield. If he wanted to use Foyth, should have gone 3 at the back. Must now play strong team at Bournemouth which we could have avoided

Also Juan Foyth is not a right back.

Against West Ham, Foyth played a full 90 minutes, made 74 touches, 45 passes with 82% accuracy, created two chances, had one shot, completed six dribbles, made five tackles, won one aerial duels, made one clearance and failed to make an interception. He failed to whip a cross in from out wide but didn’t make a full in the entire game.
Elements of his performance were impressive, but supporters felt he didn’t do the job of a right-back in regard to getting balls into the box and in regard to his defensive positioning. Foyth did run at his opponents and created a couple of opportunities, but he was also caught out on a number of occasions and isn’t showing convincing signs that he can be a right-back, despite Mauricio Pochettino’s assertions.
