With all eyes on the upcoming Champions League Final between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool over in Madrid, there are plenty of transfer rumours to keep people occupied and we do of course have the endless speculation and second guessing about manager Mauricio Pochettino’s own future ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
With some utterly bizarre reports of late and the claims being made about Pochettino and Juventus links, Poch himself hasn’t been quiet about having a desire to take Spurs to the next level and that will of course require spending.
With some claims suggesting he’ll have a £100million war chest to begin his rebuild this summer, Football London journalist Alasdair Gold delivered a message on social media that many fans will be hoping comes true.
Have heard from a couple of sources this week that Poch will be backed in the transfer market this summer with the funds to push on next season & challenge. Levy's not a fool & he knows what he's got in this manager. Should be a very interesting summer whatever happens on June 1.

It seems like an utter no brainer for Poch not to be backed this summer, but my guess would be that the gaffer won’t necessarily move that far away from what already works in terms of development of players. The upkick will come from the pivot to a few players simply for the now, not tomorrow.
The mix of both approaches as we strengthen the depth of the group would leave us on a good footing moving forward for me.
