Spurs Word On The Tweet

‘Levy has gone absolutely mad’: Lots of Tottenham fans are delighted with report that is ‘very out of character’

Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have made an improved offer for Giovani Lo Celso this summer and fans have been reacting to the news on Twitter with comments generally concerning Daniel Levy.

Mundo Deportivo have claimed Spurs have upped their bid for the Real Betis playmaker and it is thought to be close to the €75million (£67.2m) valuation the La Liga outfit have for their star man.

The BBC claimed in May that we made a bid of around €60million (£53m) for the Argentina international, but that was flat out rejected by Real Betis as they had wanted an offer closer to their €100m (£88m) release clause.

However, it seems Levy and Mauricio Pochettino are determined to get their man and are willing to up the ante a little bit more as they continue their summer spending spree.

In what could be called a summer of madness for Spurs, the club have already splashed out £63m to bring Tanguy Ndombele to the club, whilst they also spent an initial £8.5m on Jack Clarke before sending him back to Leeds United on loan to continue his development.

With more spending appearing to be on the cards, fans have been going crazy over the fact that Levy is starting to finally dig deep into his pockets and bring in the types of players we have been desperate to see arrive.

Many of them appeared to comment on the change of habit by the chairman, with many seeming surprised and shocked at just what could be about to happen to the team ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Here are just some of their reactions…
