Speculation linking Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa with a move for fellow Argentine Juan Foyth was pretty rife in the August transfer window but a repeat of the rumour has sent some Tottenham Hotspur fans into meltdown.
Back in August, there seemed very little in the stories circulating in the press other than the Argentine link and the fact that at the point, Leeds were sparse in defence owing to injury but nothing concrete ever seemed to come of it.
The Standard for all intents and purposes just freshened that rumour up yesterday for content and the added value in the report leant on Foyth’s lack of game time so far in 2018/19 and they just claimed he was assessing ‘his options’.
Reactions ranged from the 20-year-old reported £8million capture from Estudiantes being a waste of a transfer fee, down to outright anger that he wasn’t in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans despite Jan Vertonghen being ruled out for a while. I’ve picked some of the best that stood out to me.
Sanchez has been a good signing. Good job we bought him or the inferior Foyth would be playing regularly.

Can't believe Juan Foyth or KWP haven't been sent out on loan. It's madness, just stick a re-call clause in the contract.

Imo he’s a very good player and would hate to lose him he should be sent out on loan to a championship side for experience & game time

Don’t worry you’ll be playing week in, week out alongside Sanchez or Carter-Vickers when we allow Jan & Toby to leave…….

Walker peters will do the same too

Another Ryan Fredericks

It’s our scattergun approach. Rather than buy proven quality, we buy loads of cheapies in the hope 1 or 2 comes good and becomes the next £70m departure

Last time I checked it was only October but in any event, what would be wrong with the young lad getting some proper game time to bring him on further in his development?
