Chelsea’s consistently awful behaviour is their own business, but as this particular sorry episode echoes from yet another masterclass in unscrupulousness at White Hart Lane, some weeks ago, I’ll embrace the opportunity to highlight this week’s ‘Woe of Chelsea’.

We all saw the quite frankly, long overdue sending off of Terry, when the reigning champion knights rode into north London for a joust and got summarily knocked from their high horses.

Graham Poll was guilty at best of having had his fill of their unsporting tripe. Virtually every blow of the whistle inciting the ‘RentaWhine’ gaggle of representatives from Second Hand Fridge’s (un)finest.

The FA today pronounced Terry, England Captain, guilty of Improper Conduct.

And please, do note that the official statement on the FA website today told Maureeniho with equal dispassion that she too ought pay close attention to the rules. There are channels in place whereby a paranoid and presumptuous manager may make representations to the powers that be.

‘Trial by media’, you big shameless mentalist, is actually unacceptable.

‘ He will not face any formal disciplinary action.’ Not my words folks, but those of the FA.

We’re a simple breed on this island. We don’t mind a nudge in our favour to help along a victory, but we don’t care for cheats. Must be something to do with the Empire and cricket.

Terry is a great defender, ask anyone who has him in their Fantasy team. But there must be a few thinking that Beckham, for all the little digs that he attracted, bless him, he never attracted any of the grubbier accusations.

But where do YOU stand on the subject of England captain, JT?
