Kane says he is not thinking about his future until after Euros

|

Let’s be honest, the last thing we need to read before we go to bed or when we wake up first thing in the morning is any Harry Kane speculation or rumours.

After being our poster-boy since the start of 2015, is it really time for us to say goodbye to the man who has single-handedly at times dug the club out from mid-table obscurity or propelled us into Champions League football and title challenges?

Unfortunately, this year may be the year that Kane leaves Tottenham, and if he definitely leaves at some point in the next few years, it might be wise to cash on him now while he is in his prime and his value is still stupendously high.

What we are all hoping for, though, is a little bit of luck in the form of the England captain publicly stating he is not leaving Spurs.

Of course, after that the last thing we would want is a similar situation to the Aston Villa – Fabian Delph incident, or even *THAT* transfer to Arsenal back in 2001.

But this is Kane we are talking about, Tottenham Hotspur legend who demands the very best from himself and his teammates to make sure us fans can celebrate victories- and surely he won’t break our hearts in such a toxic, public way.

Speaking ahead of England’s World Cup Qualifier against Albania on Sunday, Kane admitted that he will only think about his future after the European Championships in the Summer.

“It’s important that all my focus is on the two England games coming up now, the rest of the season with Spurs and then the Euros,” said 27-year-old Kane.

“To be thinking about speculations or rumours would be damaging in terms of my own performance.

“I always like to be focused on one goal and one job and that’s to finish strong with Spurs, win these qualifiers with England and hopefully go on and have a great Euros.

“Look, I try to stay out of that speculation as much as possible.

“I’m fully focused on doing the job on the pitch from now until the end of the summer and then we’ll see where we go from there.”

If Kane leaves, the front runners to obtain his signature would be Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Manchester City – but out of those three the most likely destination for Kane would be PSG thanks to his close relationship with the French giants’ manager and our former Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino.

It would be bitter sweet for us Spurs fans to see Kane reunite with Pochettino, but at least we would be able to see him lift those trophies he deserves to lift!
