A potential switch to Juventus appears to be on the cards for Kieran Trippier this summer and some of the Tottenham Hotspur fans are desperate for it to happen if their reactions on Twitter are anything to go by.
According to a report by Gazzetta dello Sport (relayed by the Hotspur Related Twitter account), the Serie A outfit have offered the England international a five-year contract worth €2.6M (£2.3m) annually plus bonuses after deciding to make him their number one priority to replace Joao Cancelo.
Trippier did not have the best of campaigns for us this year after a rather exceptional season the year before and a hugely impressive World Cup for England last summer.
The 28-year-old admitted to Sky Sports that he knew he was far from his best this time around and accepted his omission from the national side for their Nations League finals week.
However, fans do not appear to have been impressed with what happened last season and many of them seem to have turned their back on him and want him gone – and that opinion is clearly evident with the reactions that have been left on social media.
Once Hotspur Related posted the tweet regarding the update about a potential move to Juventus, plenty of supporters were quick to tell Spurs to get a deal done and were praying it would be completed.
