“Just Brilliant” “A Star Is Born” – Spurs Youngster Takes The Praise For Commanding Performance

Wednesday evening’s EFL Cup victory over West Ham United at the fourth round stage certainly had its talking points. Whether it was Son Heung-Min being back to his best with a brace, Fernando Llorente hitting the back of the net, Kyle Walker-Peters getting a run out – a big one was centre-half Juan Foyth’s first appearance of the 2018/19 campaign.

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans had been championing his involvement ever since the decision was taken to not loan him out over the summer – Leeds United speculation was just that but I’m sure we could’ve found a suitor for the talented 20-year-old.

In any event, he came into manager Mauricio Pochettino’s starting XI for this tie and more than played his part in booking our place in the quarter-finals and a tie against Arsenal.

He also more than admirably did his job on the evening as well much to the delight of many.
