Journalist Claims Spurs Are Yet To Agree A Fee For Major Target But Player Won’t Decide Until July In Any Event

|

With ongoing and almost endless Tanguy Ndombele speculation this summer at Tottenham Hotspur given the fact he’s one of a few extreme favourites on the transfer rumour mill, the long running saga (whatever the truth may be when it comes to our interest) shows no sign of abating anytime soon if Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas is to be believed.

With 22-year-old Ndombele breaking his own silence in some ways (as covered elsewhere on the site) as talking up Spurs as a massive club this weekend and certainly giving no indication that he would be against a move to White Hart Lane, Thomas took to social media on Sunday to state that no agreement had yet been reached between both clubs over his future services, but also that the player himself was unlikely to make a decision until July.

Judging by the comments, this might not actually be a journalist reveal as some have pointed out that Ndombele basically explained this in an interview on French TV – but I can’t source that and in any event, I don’t speak French.

Given the speculation surrounding him it’s understandable as to why he’d want to keep his powder dry, but if manager Mauricio Pochettino does have a real interest in him, we still have to endeavour to get the deal over the line quickly so he gets as long as possible to settle in ahead of the new campaign.

I would’ve however assumed he’d already had his main summer break by now as most players will surely be back on pre-season routines?
