It’s Spurs, It’s Summer – That Means It’s Time For Silly Season

|

Well, it turned into quite a fantastic season for Antonio Conte and Tottenham Hotspur with the club battling back from some major disappointments to semi-comfortably seize fourth place and a Champions League spot, taking north London bragging rights over Arsenal who finished two points below us.

With the 2021/22 campaign now at a close, it is a big summer for Conte as he looks to continue reshaping his first team squad into a far more drilled and consistent outfit for the coming 2022/23 campaign, and the quick and early signing of experienced 33-year-old, Ivan Perisic, it certainly looks like Daniel Levy is going to back him and managing director Fabio Paratici in our search for further success.

With plenty of tasty links circulating in the media, it will be interesting to see who comes in next as there are a few key positions we still need to strengthen in, but if Perisic is anything to go by, it could well be an interesting couple of months ahead for fans.

German striker Jurgen Klinsmann spent two years at White Hart Lane in separate spells, but how many league goals did he contribute?

Hi TQ ….I subscribe to Optus Sport which covers all PL, WSL. and most International games. It is also covering all of the Euro games so I will be watching England with interest and hoping they do well. Obviously, Australia are not involved so …. no conflict of interest there! lol

    Not sure what SPURSPLAY is?

Hi Geof, it’s the club’s own subscription streaming service. It will be live streaming all of our pre-season games and over the season will live stream U21 games and some of our WSL games (I guess those that haven’t been selected by Sky and the BBC for broadcast) and, as I understand it, all of our first team games will be available as full match and/or extended highlights some time after the event. It also includes a full match commentary for every game as well. Loads of old content from the past as well including classic matches from the past.

Hi TQ …. Thanks for that but I can get all I need on Optus Sport so not much point in SPURSPLAY although the pre-season games would be good to see.

B108 …. I agree that England have a good shot at winning the Euros. I’ll watch today’s game when I wake up in the morning. I hope Kirby is fully fit and in the team. You’re right about Hemp.

    Well one thing (for me)
We look much stronger as a team than last season.
Much harder to over come in midfield, even if we don’t have the creative guy there (yet)
    And certainly stronger up front
I do remember someone mentionoiniing Richarlson, last season, on these posts, well we got him.
I can see us competing at top level now.
As I have, said on other threads, outside of here, the CL is to a degree wide open as( for me) the Spanish clubs aren’t as strong as they once were.
In the prem, have Chelsea and Liverpool,” strengthened” or just “replaced”
Interesting season ahead, I’m looking forward to it….
