Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris hasn’t had the best of times of late, with off-pitch issues taking headlines and the injury that kept him out of action for a number of games, but he remained on call for his country this October break and some Spurs fans were absolutely delighted with his performance on Thursday night.
Having returned to action for us ahead of the break, the international schedule will certainly help him get his full fitness and sharpness back and the 2-2 draw against Iceland on last night will more than help when it comes to the confidence front.
One moment in the game stood out for many fans – that was the quadruple save episode.

Hugo at his best!
Dump him for 4-5 mistakes, you won’t get all the saves of this nature, ultimately, conceding more.

The first stop was classy enough and whilst some will think Iceland should’ve buried the ball in the back of the net whilst he was on the floor, much like in football you can only beat what’s in front of you, a goalkeeper can only save what they can reach and he did that admirably enough to earn a round of applause from me.
