Another day, another story about transfers in involving the club. It’s the Daily Mail so take everything with a massive pinch of salt, but their reporter David Kent believes we will sell four players for £170m.
Obviously, the number has been plucked out the air by guessing the asking price of the four players in question. However, while Toby and Danny Rose’s departures are expected, Dembele and Wanyama’s exit would certainly not be.
As you can imagine on Twitter, supporters were highly sceptical about the potential sale of the four in the question:
It's a nothing story. This discussion happened on Twitter yesterday and it's found itself I today's news. Typical lazy journalism.

Partly true in terms of rose and Toby, possibly Mousa, but bull about Victor. No chance!

Can’t see him selling wanyama at all

If we sell Dembele and Wanyama we need to sign a very good CDM to play alongside Dier. Spend a lot of ??? on a CDM.

My only wish is that whatever we do. We do it early. Before the World Cup. I know I’m dreaming. It will be a 11:50pm at the end of the window after another slow start to the season.

Strange! What about Sissoko? He can go!

Fake @MailSport news, but I do think we should do everything in our power to keep Toby

Verdict:
There will be a turnover of players in the summer as Poch looks to freshen up the squad, but I highly doubt all four would be allowed to leave. We all know about the Alderweireld and Rose situations, but Victor leaving would be a shock.
Mousa’s comments about his contract do suggest there is a possibility of him leaving with 12 months remaining on his current deal. However, getting rid of both him and another central midfielder would give us a huge hole to fill.
