Another day, another story about transfers in involving the club. It’s the Daily Mail so take everything with a massive pinch of salt, but their reporter David Kent believes we will sell four players for £170m.

Obviously, the number has been plucked out the air by guessing the asking price of the four players in question. However, while Toby and Danny Rose’s departures are expected, Dembele and Wanyama’s exit would certainly not be.

As you can imagine on Twitter, supporters were highly sceptical about the potential sale of the four in the question:

There will be a turnover of players in the summer as Poch looks to freshen up the squad, but I highly doubt all four would be allowed to leave. We all know about the Alderweireld and Rose situations, but Victor leaving would be a shock.

Mousa’s comments about his contract do suggest there is a possibility of him leaving with 12 months remaining on his current deal. However, getting rid of both him and another central midfielder would give us a huge hole to fill.

  • So we are losing Rose, Toby, Wanyama and Dembele, together with Eriksen to Barcelona, Lamela to Inter, Dier to United, Llorente to Bilbao, Jansen to Besiktas, Sissoko to Wolves, Vorm on a free, Kane to Madrid/Citeh/Bayern, even Reo Griffiths to Leipzig and maybe Aurier and Lucas according to some reports. C’mon, so are we going to join a five-a-side league?!!!!!

  • Don well put, these rumours are usually started by agents and their journalists mates, to help each other out in their jobs of player transfers and selling newspapers / online clik bait.
