Image – Two Midweek Moments That Will Go Down In History For Spurs Fans

Wednesday evening turned into a stellar night for Tottenham Hotspur fans as we booked our place in the semi-finals of the Champions League with a losing victory over Manchester City.

Having taken advantage at the new White Hart Lane Stadium in the first leg as Son Heung-Min struck late on in the first leg, the second leg was always going to be a cracker and what counted was whether Spurs turned up given our injury problems once again.

We did, and although we had to ‘suffer’ as goalkeeper Hugo Lloris warned ahead of the game, a Son Heung-Min brace and a Fernando Llorente effort was enough to give us an away goal aggregate victory to end their hopes of the quadruple.

Two moments in the match became absolutely pivotal to our success, the first being obvious and it is undoubtedly the moment that Fernando Llorente will forever be associated with from his time at the club.

I’m sure we’ll see the second on far more regular occasions in the future of the game.
