Tottenham Hotspur travel to Huddersfield Town this Saturday as we return to Premier League action after putting our name in the hat for the fourth round draw of this season’s EFL Cup with a penalty victory over Watford in midweek.

As the title suggests, I’m open to sponsorship but unfortunately, I don’t think that cunning plan will work as they host us at the John Smith’s Stadium and I can’t really avoid mentioning it anyway.

With Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm already confirmed as being out for this one, early team news that I can see suggest it won’t just be Vincent Jansson who’s missing for this one. Christian Eriksen is also tagged as being out, as is Serge Aurier following on from Watford.

It’s not going to be an easy game for sure against David Wagner’s Gegenpressers but there’s every reason to be confident of another positive result as we keep our season ticking along.

  • Should be routine of we play to our potential, but we aren’t, as our penalty shootout win against 10 men v Watford, and the scratchy win v Brighton have shown. We need to get back into some semblance of proper form and quick. On current form Man City will destroy us.

  • Hope we avoid the curse of letting a team turn their season around, seeing they’re yet to win a game. We not half helped out similar teams last season!

1-3, their goal to come from a header from a set piece!.

  • It wasn’t the best performance against Watford Frank but it’s a bit unfair to suggest we should have done better because we were only playing against 10, did you forget, we were down to 10 before they were?

  • I think we have shown a bit more confidence in dealing with corners/crosses with Gazza in goal, he has a distinct height advantage over Hugo & Vorm.

  • I am with the confident camp, am going for a 0-4 win. The Terriers being home will attack us so play football and then we will “lead” them to a 0-4 defeat, simple. COYS

  • Hat trick by Llorente, just to mess with our minds. After this, he will return to nothingness for the rest of the season. Of course, his goals will all be freaks–a ball bouncing off his bum into the net, that sort of thing. But he’ll get MotM for the hat trick. Toby and Verts both score own goals, so we win with three goals to their two.

Most absurd match of the decade. You heard it hear first.

    • Og Kush. Don’t drink any more. just gan jah. lol

off the thread comment: so good to see José Mourinho being humiliated by Spammers just now.

  • AWESOME!! West Coast Eagles, Aussie Rules Grand Final winners 2018 …. in case you’re interested. Come on Spurs …. complete the weekend!

  • Looks like the three behind Kane will pick itself with both Eriksen and Dele out. The obvious would be Son and Lucas either side of Lamela however, we could try something different and have either Winks or Dembele playing in the middle of the three with the other playing deeper with Dier or Wanyama?

  • Weird team. No one to create anything. Surely we have someone – oh yes I forgot we didn’t sign anyone in the summer. Still who could have foreseen any injuries!!!
Why no Lamela. I guess we have to save him for Wednesday. Small squad – no chance of achieving anything. Pathetic
