With the summer rumour mill in full flow for Tottenham Hotspur, there have been suggestions that we were attempting to court Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Julian Draxler this summer.

A number of media outlets covered the earlier speculation as per a recent Metro report and the 25-year-old does tick plenty of boxes when you think of manager Mauricio Pochettino. An age where he can still develop further, supposed £35million price tag, and even if fans didn’t buy into the ‘we’ve been offered him’ angle, with five goals and 12 assists returned and international experience, it’s a tempting one.

However, unsurprisingly for the press these days it seems those reports were incredibly wide of the mark as the player has addressed his own future in an interview with Bild (via the Metro) and he said he had no ‘intention’ of leaving PSG this summer and nor had there been any contact over him.

“I cannot say anything about that, because I have no intention of leaving the club. I also heard nothing from club side. I have not talked to anyone, I know nothing.”

It seems he’s not the only one.
