It appears to be fortress new White Hart Lane at the minute, as Tottenham Hotspur helped themselves to another win and another three points in today’s earlier Premier League kickoff against Huddersfield Town.
Having lost striker Harry Kane in the Champions League quarter-final clash against Manchester City in midweek, Dele Alli wasn’t risked as expected in this one with the fractured hand he picked up in the same game but an old face made an immediate impact as Victor Wanyama opened the scoring 24 minutes in, in what became only his first 90 minutes since early last November (Crystal Palace).
Lucas Moura stepped up to the place in the absence of Kane and doubled our advantage three minutes later. Late on in the second half he made it a brace in the 87th minute, before completing his hattrick three minutes into stoppage-time.
4-0, a comfortable win and had we been a bit more clinical the scoreline could’ve been greater given the number of chances we created overall.
All eyes to Manchester City again now as these three points were a must.
