Tottenham fans have got previous for getting on the back of Hugo Lloris. The Frenchman has made costly mistakes before and it again he made one on Saturday. However, the skipper stepped up and made the difference in the second half, pulling off two sublime saves.
“I was really upset with myself, but I think it’s more about how you respond and I’m really pleased with my performance in the second half.”

The two saves we’ve mentioned came with the score at 2-1 during the second half as the Frenchman was sublime, throwing him across his goal to deny a James Ward-Prowse free-kick before going on to deny a Maya Yoshida header from a corner.
It’s certainly not an easy job being a Premier League goalkeeper, and when Danny Ings capitalised on an attempted Cruyff turn from Lloris it looked like he might go into his shell and crumble, although that certainly wasn’t the case as he stepped up and performed, leading to plenty of praise from the fans.
You can read that praise here:
Mistakes happen & how you recover and learn from them is what matters most. Brilliant in the second half

The fans were all rightfully fully behind their skipper on Saturday and now it’s time for Lloris to build on that display.
