If there’s one way for fans to turn even more against you, it’s to state openly that a squad that is in blatant need of refurbishing is completely fine, yet nobody seemed to have told Mauricio Pochettino that.
Pochettino was asked if Spurs will sign players in January: “I don’t believe so. I believe in the players that we have at Tottenham today. If it’s my decision I will stick with my players. They have the quality. We have great quality to fight for the things we expect to fight.”

The Tottenham boss said in his pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League clash with Watford that the January transfer window will likely see no-new additions despite cries from supporters to invest in the squad after a disappointing start to the season.
Tottenham are currently third of their Champions League group as well as sitting in a disappointing ninth place in the Premier League table, and Pochettini’s comments did nothing to sway fans to his side as supporters took to social media to barrage their manager with plenty of criticism.
Here’s what some Tottenham fans had to say about Pochettino’s surprising stance on the January transfer window…
I cant stress how much I want Poch gone.
He’s lost the plot.

Some fans just couldn’t believe that the Spurs boss wouldn’t be bringing in new faces this winter…
I’ve never known a manager to contradict himself so many times. No wonder the players play like they are confused. He changes his mind in the press every week, no doubt he’s like it behind closed doors too.
