The Premier League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between AFC Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday.

AFC Bournemouth host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday March 11 for the game at Dean Court and the match carries a 4pm kick off.

Referee: Mike Dean
Assistant Refs: Ian Hussin and Simon Beck
Fourth Official: Graham Scott

Match Day referee Dean has officiated 22 games in 2017/18, showing 79 yellow cards and three red cards so far.

He took in 36 games in 2016/17 with a return of 138 yellow cards and five red cards.

His highest card count that year was seven yellows in the game between Stoke City and Manchester City. He also showed seven yellows and one red in the game between Tottenham and Sunderland and Barnsley and Leeds United.

He took in 41 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 136 yellow cards and twelve red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Chelsea and Arsenal on September 19 with a total of six yellows being shown and two reds.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.

  • Mike Dean. Total attention seeker who can’t get past his own ego, let alone be objective about reffing a football game. Shouldn’t be operating anywhere this level of the game.

I’ll be waiting for the major incident in the game that he messes up. It’s there every week.

  • Dean might be in love with himself, but give me him over Moss, Attwell, Mason, (beach ball) Jones, Mariner, Friend, East, any day of the week. I think that he and Atkinson and Oliver are a cut above the rest since Clattenburg left. The overall standard of referees in the PL at the moment, is probably the worst in the top flight in my time, and I have been a Spurs fan since Arthur Rowe’s push and rum era. Theoretically VAR should help but it won’t, as it will be used by incompetent indecisive referees as a crutch to lean on.

  • Incidentally I ommitted Scott from my list of incompetents in error, and he is 4th official in this game.

  • I’m trying not to imagine the combination of Mike Dean and VAR. Both to be avoided individually, so imagine the combination. The only good news about this official is that he’s horrible for both clubs.

as to the match itself, the only way to leave yesterday’s sadness is to play again. Let’s move on. I want at least second in EPL. Let gain points on them all this weekend.

  • Great performance from the lads. Could have felt sorry for themselves after Juventus. Well done and COYS. Harry can have 3 weeks rest now. 🙂
