With the rumour mill typically in full flow at White Hart Lane given the time of year, Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with oodles of players already – both domestically and abroad – and Ajax’s impressive Donny van de Beek had long been on the speculation radar.
Following our Champions League Semi-Final clash with Ajax, the 22-year-old’s performances were well received and plenty of fans believed he would be a cracking addition to manager Mauricio Pochettino’s first team squad.
Although little has happened with the deal, his name remains on the rumour mill as the expectation is he’ll leave Ajax this summer, and Dutch football expert Marcel van der Kraan believes that it’ll be a two horse race between Spurs and Manchester United when it comes to his signature ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

With plenty of development still ahead of him, a return of 16 goals and 12 assists in 2018/19 is hardly too shabby at all and few would mind us getting this one over the line.
