The Express (via the Scottish Sun) are reporting that the club will offer £20m to sign Kieran Tierney from Celtic in the summer.

It’s probably best to take this story with a large pinch of salt as the tabloid are one of the least reliable sources out there.

However, fans on Twitter were quick to react to the story:

A pursuit for another left back will likely depend on the future of Danny Rose who many have tipped to leave at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old has struggled since his return from a serious knee injury, and it will be interesting to see whether any bids do materialise for the fullback.

If he is replaced, Tierney would be a logical choice, mainly due to his age and potential. There are question marks though over whether the 20-year-old would want to leave his boyhood club after having signed a new six-year deal back in October.
