Tottenham Hotspur fans are desperate to have Tanguy Ndombele in the side at the start of the upcoming campaign and it would seem those dreams could be about to come true!
According to Alasdair Gold, who is a reliable journalist for Football.London when it comes down to all things Spurs, there could be some positive news on the horizon regarding the Olympique de Lyonnais ace.
The report states Ndombele is believed to have indicated to Tottenham that he wants to join them this summer and confidence regarding a deal for the 22-year-old is thought to be at a high between everyone involved.
We are going to have to break the £42million transfer record fee we set when purchasing Davinson Sanchez in 2017 (Guardian), however, the France international is certainly a player that would be worth smashing it for.
He did stress that there was still a long way to go when posting an update on Twitter, however, that did not do a lot to stop fans from reacting with delight regarding the news.
Supporters jumped onto the tweet to express their delight at what Gold had reported with many of them hoping that he was right and that we could finally get the deal over the line.
One fan admitted he would go ‘nuts’ if we were to sign him, whilst another ‘loved and respected’ the journalist for his update regarding Ndombele.
Here are just some of those reactions…
