Erik Lamela was videoed working hard in pre-season training upon the squad’s return, however, it would seem a number of the Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter were not impressed with what they saw.

It is hardly a secret that the South American winger has had his injury problems since being with us as he only managed to feature in just 19 Premier League matches last season (Transfermarkt), with the majority of them as a substitute appearance and played an entire match on two occasions.
Plenty was expected of the Argentina international when he was signed from AS Roma for a reported fee of £25.7million back in 2013, however, his career at Spurs has never really got going as his performances have continued to blow hot and cold when afforded the chance.
Whether he gets his opportunity to impress Mauricio Pochettino once again next season still remains to be seen, however, it would appear not many of the fan base want to see him in action for them when the Premier League campaign restarts.
Many of them took to Twitter to slam Lamela’s video with many believing he would injure himself in those sessions, whilst others just simply wanted him to be sold this summer so they do not have to deal with him anymore.
