German Giants Keen To Recruit Tottenham Midfield Enforcer

Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Victor Wanyama, according to Bild.

The German club’s new head coach Lucien Favre is reportedly keen on reshaping his squad with three new players, and our no.12 is said to be on the list of targets.

The Kenyan recently declared that he is intent on staying at the club despite an injury-plagued second season for us. He told Goal.com:

“I am happy at Tottenham and I am committed to the team. I am not aware of anything [regarding a move away] and I am very fine and happy where I am.”

Reports in April indicated that Wanyama could be offloaded this summer as Mauricio Pochettino sought funds to improve his squad.

At the time, the Daily Mail said that the sales of Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose, Mousa Dembele and the Kenyan international were the likeliest.

However, so far none have departed, although there isn’t expected to be a lot of movement during the World Cup.

Wanyama played just 24 times last season, scoring one goal after spending four months out with a knee injury between August and December.
