On Friday, Tottenham Hotspur attacker Lucas Moura’s form across the month of August was acknowledged and he received the official Premier League Player of the Month award.

Taking the first 2018/19 individual player prize, the 26-year-old features in four matches for manager Mauricio Pochettino, scoring three goals including a brace at Old Trafford as we faced Manchester United.

With a slow start to his life at the club following his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain back in the last January window, Moura certainly seems to have found his feet now and hopes and expectations are high that this is a taste of what’s to come for the rest of the season.

Fans are rightly delighted with the acknowledgement given to his start of the year.

Despite the Watford showing where everyone was below par, there are a number of positives to take from our start to the season and Moura’s form so far is one of them. If he can keep this up, knowing we have Son Heung-min returning and Victor Wanyama a bit further down the line, there’s plenty of reasons for the positivity to continue.
