Football’s Emotional Rollercoaster Summed Up In Two – Images

|

They always say a photo can often speak a thousand words and the images from Wednesday evening will live long in the memories of both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City fans.

With Son Heung-Min giving us a first leg advantage in the Champions League quarter-finals the other week at the new White Hart Lane Stadium, Pep Guardiola will be delighted with how his players responded on Etihad soil this week as the game had everything.

The early goal from them, the fight back from us. We took the lead as Sonny completed his brace, they fought back less than a minute later and at this stage we were only eleven minutes through. They took a major advantage, Fernando Llorente’s Arsenal went down in history, and it was enough to edge us to an aggregate win on away goals.

Oh, there was also the appearance of the Video Assistant Referee, and it went our way.

For no particular reason, these two images from the night just seemed to perfectly sum up the game and the twists and turns.

Undoubtedly, everyone in attendance and following at home shared in that moment for entirely similar reasons.
