With the January transfer window ticking to a close this week with Friday’s deadline looking, it’s now being reported that Tottenham Hotspur duo Danny Rose and Kyle Walker-Peters will soon secure loan moves away from White Hart Lane.
Given his lack of game time so far this year, it certainly makes sense to get 22-year-old KWP out for games to bolster his experience, but the mention of Danny Rose departing will raise a few eyebrows.
The report comes from the Evening Standard and Walker-Peters is mentioned in the same breath as Crystal Palace and Southampton, with Rose linked to Newcastle United, Bournemouth and Watford (once again).
The implication is that we’d prefer permanent deals for them both, but loans with an option to buy are our next best bet and 29-year-old Rose has apparently now accepted that his time at the club is up, despite his earlier claims of seeing out his contract.
Given that departure speculation has ramped up a gear, it’ll be interesting to see whether anyone does move on or not.

Best news I have heard in ages, he is nothing but an out and out troublemaker, we would do well to get shot of him 😊
